DIN EN 60320-1:2016-04

This Part 1 of the IEC 60320 series of standards sets the general requirements for appliance couplers for two poles and two poles with earth contact and for the connection of electrical devices for household and similar onto the mains supply. This standard also includes requirements for interconnection couplers for the interconnection of the electrical supply to appliance or equipment. The rated voltage is not exceeding 250 V (ac) and a rated current not exceeding 16 A. This standard is also valid for appliance inlets/appliance outlets integrated or incorporated in appliances. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 542.3 "Gerätesteckvorrichtungen" ("Appliance couplers") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
