The part of IEC 60127 contains particular requirements for cartridge fuse-links for miniature fuses with the dimensions 5 mm×20 mm and 6,3 mm×32 mm for the protection of electric appliances, electronic equipment and component parts thereof normally intended to be used indoors. It does not apply to fuses for appliances intended to be used under special conditions, such as in a corrosive or explosive atmospheres. The standard applies additionally to the requirements in accordance with IEC 60127-1. The purpose of this standard is the specification of further special test methods for cartridge fuse-links which apply additionally to the requirements of IEC 60127-1. The responsible Committee is K 663 "Gerätesicherungen (G-Sicherungen)" ("Miniature fuses") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
