Overview

This part of IEC 60068 contains a test to determine the ability of components, equipment or other articles to withstand rapid changes of ambient temperature. The exposure times adequate to accomplish this will depend upon the nature of the specimen. At DIN and VDE the responsible Committee is K 131 "Umgebungsbedingungen, Klassifizierung und Prüfungen" ("Environmental conditions, classification and tests") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies).
