Overview
The standard sheets of this loose-leaf publication specify requirements for lamp caps, which are important for the interchangeability of a lamp with a certain cap in the corresponding lamp holder. Through Amendment A42, the lamp caps BA9s, G5 and G8.5 have been revised and new requirements for the cap PGJ(X)50 been added. The Subcommittee responsible for this standard is UK 521.2 "Lampensockel und -fassungen" ("Lamp caps and holders") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
This document replaces DIN EN 60061-1:2009-11 .
