Overview

This part of IEC 60034 establishes the principal characteristics of AC generators with voltage regulators when used for reciprocating internal combustion (RIC) engines, taking into account the requirements given in IEC 60034-1. It covers the application of such generators for land and marine use, but excludes generators used on aircraft, to propel land vehicles and locomotives. The responsible Committee is K 311 "Drehende elektrische Maschinen" ("Rotating electrical machines") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

This document replaces DIN EN 60034-22:1998-01; VDE 0530-22:1998-01 .
