DIN EN 55103-2:2010-07

This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 55103-2:2009. It specifies limits and test methods for the immunity of audio, video, audiovisual and entertainment lighting control apparatus for professional use. Digital apparatus, sub-assemblies and plug-in units are also included. For the equipment that are covered by this standard 5 operational environments are defined. This standard covers the frequency range of 0 Hz to 400 GHz, however tests need only be carried out in the frequency ranges, in which requirements are specified. The test methods are taken over by references to appropriate basic standards. The specific test conditions which apply to equipment and apparatus which are within the scope of this standard, and the evaluation criteria to be applied are specified in the standard. In the annexes methods for the immunity test against magnetic fields in the frequency range 50 Hz to 50 kHz and against common mode disturbances at balanced signal and control ports, and so on, are specified. Additionally, information about apparatus which use infrared signals for signal transmission or control, and information about immunity tests specified in this standard are given. With respect to the previous edition of the standard, the term for shielded cable termination has been added. Furthermore, the normative references have been updated; the previous Tables 1 and 2 containing specifications for limits and the associated test methods have been combined to a new Table 1. The illustration of the disturbances in clause 5 has been summarized into nine phenomenona.
