Overview

This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 55016-2-1:2009+A1:2011 and is identical to International Standard CISPR 16-2-2:2010 and its Amendment 1:2010. It contains requirements for the method of measurement for high-frequency radiated disturbances (disturbance voltages and interference currents) of apparatus and devices especially in the frequency range 9 MHz to 30 MHz. Measurements are carried out on the respective terminals, for example, power supply and telecommunication terminals of the apparatus or device. This standard contains the required definitions and the types of disturbance to be measured are described. The connection and test arrangement of measuring equipment, the general measurement requirements and conditions, the test set-up, etcetera, are described and the specifications for interpretation of measuring results are then given. Measurements can be carried out on open-area test sites or alternatively in shielded rooms. Furthermore, requirements for automated measurements are specified. The standard also provides considerations concerning the measurement time reduction and gives corresponding instructions. With respect to the previous edition, specifications for measurement of the disturbance power by using FFT-based test instrumentation have been added. Moreover, definitions of the terms "measurement" and "test" have been introduced and for this purpose reference has been made to the International Electrotechnical Vocabulary (IEV) and the International Vocabulary of Basic and General Terms in Metrology (VIM) respectively, and the definition of the term "weighting" has been replaced by a multi-part definition. Furthermore, the list of detector functions in 4.3 has been supplemented by the RMS average detector. Additionally, so-called regulatory statements ("Bei Meinungsverschiedenheiten ..." ("In case of dispute ...") and "... besitzt Vorrang" ("... takes precedence")) have been deleted from Note 1 to Figure 6 and from 7.5.1 and 7.5.2.2. Furthermore, the note at the end of 7.4.1 regarding meander-shaped bundling of cables has been deleted. Finally, Annex F with specifications regarding determination of the suitability of spectrum analyzers for conformity tests has been incorporated. When defining specifications regarding measurement of radio disturbances it is recommended to the Committees responsible for EMC products to consider the respective specifications of the standard series CISPR 16 or EN 55016 with respect to test instrumentation, measurement methods and measurement uncertainty. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 767.4 "Geräte und Verfahren zum Messen von elektromagnetischen Aussendungen" ("Equipment and methods for measurement of electromagnetic transmissions") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
