This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 55016-1-3:2006 + A1:2016 and is identical to the International Standard CISPR 16-1-3:2004 and its Amendment 1:2016. It specifies requirements for absorber clamps used to measure radio-frequency interference power in the frequency range 30 MHz to 1000 MHz. This method is cited, for example, in CISPR 14-1, which applies to the radio interference suppression of household appliances, power tools and similar electrical appliances and has been adopted as European Standard EN 55014-1 and thus as DIN EN 55014-1 (VDE 0875-14-1). Compared to the previous edition of the standard, the reference device calibration procedure for absorber clamps has been deleted and the remaining procedure has been improved. The following specifications, which are suitable for reducing the measurement uncertainty, serve this purpose: - separate determination of the test fixture transfer factor if the housing material is changed; - use of a secondary absorbing adapter (SAD) on the measurement cable when using the test fixture calibration method to reduce the influence of the cable arrangement; - improvement of the test fixture design to reduce the coupling with the environment; - when using the original calibration method, the measurement cable is suspended in such a way that it does not touch the horizontal ground plane to reduce its capacitive coupling with the horizontal ground plane; - fixed dimensions of the vertical ground plane of 2 m×2 m in the original calibration method. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 767.4 "Geräte und Verfahren zum Messen von elektromagnetischen Aussendungen" ("Apparatus and methods for measurement of electromagnetic transmissions") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
