Overview

This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 55015:2013 plus A1:2015, which takes over the International Standard CISPR 15:2013 and its Amendment 12015. It serves for the limitation of the radio-frequency emission (radio disturbance suppression) of electrical lighting and similar electric equipment. It specifies the limits of disturbance voltages and disturbance field strength for the different types of lamps, luminaires and accessories and their different connections that apply for this purpose. Furthermore, it specifies minimum values for insertion loss. The measurement methods required to demonstrate compliance with the various specifications are specified. Compared to the previous edition of the standard, specifications for limiting the interference voltage and the radiated interference quantities of extra-low voltage lamps, light tubes or light chains and various double-capped lamps including retrofit lamps have been added. A new Annex E has been added to specify the requirements and test setups for the measurement of the various double-capped lamps. Furthermore, a supplementary specification to the multifunction device clause in the scope has been added, according to which devices that have a secondary lighting function do not have to be tested according to this standard, provided they have been tested according to the other standard with the lighting function switched on. This affects, for example, cooker hoods, fans, refrigerators, freezers, ovens and TV broadcast receivers with ambient lighting. In addition, the measurement of radiated disturbances at a distance of 3 m was introduced, and limits for radiated disturbances were specified for this purpose. Finally, the specifications for independent converters operated with LED or incandescent lamps were clarified. The responsible Committee is DKE/UK 767.11 "EMV von Betriebsmitteln und Anlagen für häusliche, gewerbliche, industrielle, wissenschaftliche und medizinische Anwendungen, die beabsichtigt oder unbeabsichtigt HF erzeugen, sowie von Beleuchtungseinrichtungen" ("EMC relating to equipment and systems for residential, commercial, industrial, scientific and medical applications that intentionally or unintentionally generate RF, and lighting devices") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
