This European Standard specifies general requirements for the measurement of dust from mains-operated and battery-operated power tools. This standard applies to power tools with and without dust extractors where dust in the form of mineral dust containing silica or wood dust is expected. This part of EN 50632 applies to portable planers and thicknessers for planing wood. This part supplements the future part EN 62841-3-3 of the EN 62841 series of standards with the requirements for noise measurements. The responsible committee is DKE/K 514 "Elektrowerkzeuge" ("Electric tools") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
