DIN EN 50625-2-2:2016-01

This European Standard series EN 50625 aims to assist organisations in achieving effective and efficient treatment and disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, WEEE) in order to prevent pollution and minimize emission. The aims of this series is to promote increased material recycling, to promote high quality recovery operations and to prevent inappropriate disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and fractions thereof and assure protection of human health and safety and the environment. This Part 2-2 of the standard series EN 50625 is concerned with the treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment containing CRTs or flat panel displays until they achieve an end-of-waste status or until their fractions are recycled, utilized or disposed of, including the associated transhipment, sorting and storage. The responsible committee is DKE/K 191 "Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit bei Produkten in der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik, Informationstechnik" ("Environmental protection and sustainability for products in electrotechnics, electronics, information technology") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
