This standard specifies the requirements and testing programme for unscreened straight patch cords and application specific patch cords for class E channels in accordance with standard series EN 50173. The cords assembled with a connector in accordance with IEC 60603-7-4 are suitable for digital communication with transmission characteristics up to 250 MHz.
