DIN EN 50597:2016-05

This standard defines methods for the measurement of energy consumption of vending machines, whether or not fitted with refrigerating appliances. This standard applies (but is not limited) to the following categories of vending machine types: refrigerated closed-front can and bottle vending machine, refrigerated glass-front candy and snack vending machine, refrigerated glass-front perishable food vending machine, and non-refrigerated candy and snack vending machine. For verification purposes, it is essential to apply all of the tests specified to a single unit. The tests may also be made individually for the study of a particular characteristic. The responsible committee is DKE/K 513 "Hausgeräte, Gebrauchseigenschaften" ("Household appliances, performance characteristics") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
