Overview

This European Standard applies to spray guns for non-flammable materials. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN 50144-2-7 (VDE 0740-2-7):2001-10 and DIN EN 50260-2-7 (VDE 0740-407):2003-04: a) requirements and tests for mains-operated spray guns and battery-operated spray guns have been combined, b) content of the standard has been brought in line with the new Machinery Directive. The responsible committee is DKE/K 514 "Elektrowerkzeuge" ("Electric tools") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
