This part of EN 50518 specifies the technical requirements for an ARC. It also contains functional criteria for performance characteristics and their testing. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 713.1 "Gefahrenmelde- und Überwachungsanlagen" ("Alarm and surveillance systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
