This standard contains the German version of the European Amendment EN 50413/A1:2013. It modifies Table D.2 which gives the relationship between carrier, mean and peak power for the most usual modulation types in the case of maximum modulated signal. It has been noted that the conversion factors given in the table do not actually relate for certain modulation types. This concerns the transmission types A1A and J1E. The standard contains general requirements for the measurement and calculation of the electromagnetic fields, the induced body current and the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) related to human exposure to electromagnetic fields. The values determined with the standard serve for the evaluation of the safety of persons in electromagnetic fields. The objective of the standard is to specify the procedure for the demonstration of compliance with the reference values for the electromagnetic field or the basic restrictions for , the induced body current and the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). The informative annexes of the standard contain information on the analytical models used for verification of validity of the calculation methods, numerical calculation methods as well as considerations to relevant parameters of various types of radio transmission. The responsible committee is DKE/K 764 "Sicherheit in elektromagnetischen Feldern" ("Safety in electromagnetic fields") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
