The responsible committee is K 412 "Kommunikationskabel (Kabel, Leitungen, Wellenleiter, Lichtwellenleiter, Komponenten, Zubehör und Anlagentechnik für die Nachrichten- und Informationsübertragung)" ("Communication cables (Cables, wires, waveguides, fibre optics, components, equipment and installation technology for the transmission of news and information)") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
