This amendment to the German version of European Standard EN 50160:2010, published as DIN EN 50160:2011-02, is intended to supplement an informative annex containing the A-deviations applicable to Norway. These deviations concern, among other things, the specifications for rapid voltage changes, harmonic voltage and flicker strength, where specifications deviating from the standard apply in Norway. In Norway, these specifications take precedence over the corresponding specifications in the standard. The standard contains information about the voltage characteristics in public low, medium and high voltage distribution networks. Thus, the following characteristics are considered: voltage level and voltage frequency, slow and fast voltage changes as well as flickers, dips and short and long interruptions of voltage, temporary supply-frequency overvoltage as well as transient overvoltage between the outer conductor and the ground, voltage asymmetry, harmonics, interharmonic and network signal transmission voltages on the supply voltage, whereby values could not be provided for all characteristics. The values given apply for the normal operation of the respective networks and not for operating conditions which deviate from the normal operating conditions, such as temporary supply measures and exceptional situations. They serve thus not as values for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and not for specification of requirements in product standards and are also not intended to be used for specifications of requirements in product standards or in installation standards. The performance of a (connected) device can become impaired if the latter is exposed to supply conditions which are not taken into account in the product standard for the device. The responsible Committee is DKE/UK 767.1 "Niederfrequente leitungsgeführte Störgrößen" ("Low-frequency conducted disturbance variables") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
