Overview

This part of the European Standard EN 50156 specifies the requirements and recommendations for the application design and construction of the electrical and instrumentation equipment of furnaces, associated equipment and of the systems heated by the thermal energy released in the furnace in order to: - ensure the safety of persons, property, and the environment; - maintain operability; and - make maintenance easier and more economical. The responsible committee is DKE/K 232 "Elektrische Ausrüstung von Wärmeerzeugungsanlagen" ("Electrical equipment of heat generating plants") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.

Replacement amendments

This document replaces DIN EN 50156-1:2005-03; VDE 0116-1:2005-03 .
