Overview

This standard contains the German version of the European standard EN 50121-1:2013 and serves as an introduction to the other parts of the DIN EN 50121 (VDE 0115-121) series, which specifies requirements for the electromagnetic compatibility of railways. Part 1 of the series of standards specifies the evaluation criteria for operational behavior during and after immunity testing and provides guidance for consideration when performing an EMC planning procedure. Annex A contains general EMC considerations related to the railway system. Compared to the existing standard the previously undated references have been changed to dated references and the references to European Directive 91/440/EEC and EN 50238 in Clause 5 have been deleted. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 767.12 "Funkstörungen durch Hochspannungsfreileitungen und -anlagen und EMV von Bahnen" ("Radio interference by high voltage overhead lines and installations and EMC of railways") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
