DIN EN 474-5:2013-12

This European Standard defines relevant requirements set out in Annex I of EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, relating to machines which were placed on the European Economic Area (EEA) for the first time, with the intent of simplifying the means of proving conformity with such requirements. The standard deals with machine-specific significant hazards, describes the associated safety requirements and/or protective measures as well as requirements for information for use. The document contains the German version of EN 474-5:2006+A3 which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 151 "Construction equipment and building material machines - Safety" at the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). The national interests during the preparation are represented by Working Committee NA 060-13-01 AA "Erdbau-/Straßenbaumaschinen" ("Earth-moving machinery") at Section Bau- und Baustoffmaschinen (Construction and civil engineering machinery) of the Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee (NAM) at DIN. Representatives of manufacturers and users of earth-moving machinery, and of the employers' liability insurance associations contributed to this standard.
