DIN EN 4644-003:2012-01

The EN 4644 standard series describes modular rectangular electrical and optical connectors with rectangular inserts, operating temperature 175 °C (or 125 °C) continuous. The connectors described in this standard are suitable for use on board commercial and military aircraft for panel and rack application under rough environmental conditions. Part 003 specifies the characteristics of rectangular inserts used in the family of electrical and optical, modular, rectangular inserts, operating temperature 175 °C (or 125 °C) continuous, coupled by a locking mechanism or rack and panel. These inserts are to be used in connectors defined by EN 4644-001. The standards of the DIN 4644 series have been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Connector") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
