DIN EN 4531-003:2012-07

The standard series DIN EN 4531 describes the characteristics of single and multipin optical circular connectors, coupled by triple start threaded ring and flush contacts for aerospace applications. In its role as a product standard, Part 003 specifies the characteristics of square flange receptacles in the family of circular connectors with triple start threaded coupling. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN 4531-003:2008-04: a) regarding the dimensions of the connectors, reference is made to EN 3645-003; b) reference is also made to EN 3645-003 regarding the dimensions of the panel cut-outs. The standard series EN 4531 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrics, Avionics, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. ASD became the associated body (ASB) of CEN by the agreement dated 1986-10-03. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-10 AA "LWL und LWL-Komponenten" ("LWL and LWL-components") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
