Overview

The standard DIN EN 4179 specifies the minimum requirements for the qualification and certification of personnel performing non-destructive testing (NDT), non-destructive inspection or non-destructive evaluation in the aerospace manufacturing, service, maintenance and overhaul industries. The standard EN 4179:2009 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Non-metallic materials, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-01-01 AA "Stähle" ("Steels") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
