The EN 4165 series of standards describes rectangular electrical connectors in modular design for an operating temperature of 175 °C, continuous, for aerospace applications. The new edition of Part 026 defines end housings of connectors for single modules according to EN 4165-024 and EN 4165-025, which are used in the rectangular connector family. This standard differs from the previous edition DIN EN 4165-026:2011-10 as follows: a) the normative references have been supplemented; b) an alternative design has been included in Figure 1, the figures Figure 2 to Figure 10 have been revised, existing dimensions have been changed and further housing variants, for example with cable tie device, and mass data have been included; c) in Table 1, Class C for an uncoated composite material has been included; d) a type code designation has been included in the identification block in Clause 5. The standards of the EN 4165 series of standards are prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Electrical Connectors" at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
