Overview

The DIN EN 3646 series of standards defines the characteristics of protective covers for plugs in the family of bayonet coupling circular connectors, intended for use in an operating temperature range of - 65 °C to 175 °C or 200 °C continuous. The new edition of Part 010 defines the characteristics for certain designs of protective caps for free connectors from the family of circular connectors, intended for use in an operating temperature range of - 65 °C to 175 °C or 200 °C continuous. For plugs associated with these protective covers, see EN 3646-008. This standard differs from the previous edition DIN EN 3646-010:2007-05 as follows: a) Figure 1 has been editorially revised and provided with a key; b) Table 1 has been revised, some values have been changed; c) materials for the individual elements have been listed in 4.2; d) in Clause 5, Table 3 with types of fastening and a reference to this table have been included in the designation. The standards of the EN 3646 series are prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. ASD became the associated body (ASB) of CEN by the agreement dated 1986-10-03. The responsible German standardization body is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Electrical Connectors") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
