The EN 3375 series of standards describes electrical cables for the transmission of digital data in aviation. The new edition of Part 009 of the series of standards specifies the requirements for electrical cables, single braid, 120 ohms, size 26, and electrical cable type WX, intended for digital data transmissions. It shall be used together with EN 3375-001. The standard differs from the previous edition DIN EN 3375-009:2009-10 as follows: a) in Table 2 the tests according to EN 3475-513, EN 3475-705 and EN 3475-706 are to be applied for component as well as line, a test according to EN 3838 has been added to the Table; b) the identification block has been extended by a character for UV laser marking; c) in 7.2 Table 3 with abbreviations for UV laser markability has been added. The EN 3375 series of standards has been prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Aerospace Standards Committee. AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-02 AA "Elektrische Leitungen" ("Electric cables") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
