The standards of the EN 2997 series describe electrical circular connectors coupled by threaded ring for aerospace applications, fire resistant or not, for operating temperatures from -65 °C to 175 °C or 200 °C constant as well as 260 °C peak. The new edition of Part 014 specifies the characteristics of fixed connectors with square mounting flange with integral end housing. It applies to the defined classes WS, RS, S, SV, SE and SF. For contacts, filler plugs associated with this receptacle, see EN 2997-002. For plugs, see EN 2997-008 and EN 2997-016 and for protective covers, see EN 2997-009. The standard differs from the previous edition DIN EN 2997-014:2011-10 as follows: a) Figure 1 has been editorially revised and an item number has been added; b) Figure 2 and Figure 3 have been editorially revised; c) in Table 3, connector class SF has been newly included. The standards of the EN 2997 series are prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-03 AA "Elektrische Verbindungselemente" ("Electrical Connectors") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
