Overview

This standard defines a method for determination of the smoke density due to pyrolitic decomposition of solid materials and composite materials of up to 25 mm in thickness under the influence of radiant heat only with simultaneous flame application. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-02-01 AA "Faserverstärkte Kunststoffe" ("Fibre-reinforced plastics") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
