The EN 2714 standard series describes the requirements for single and multicore electrical cables for general purpose for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft at operating temperatures between -55 °C and 260 °C. Part 002 of the series of standards specifies the list of product standards and the general characteristics of screened and jacketed electrical cables for use at operating temperatures between -55 °C and 260 °C (unless otherwise specified in the product standards). Compared to the previous edition DIN EN 2714-002:2012-12, an 11-core cable has been included in the tables, with the exception of Table 2, Table 9 and Table 10. The standards of the EN 2714 series of standards have been prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Aerospace Standards Committee. AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-02 AA "Elektrische Leitungen" ("Electric cables") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
