The standards of the EN 2713 series describe requirements for single and multi-core electrical cables for general use in aircraft at operating temperatures between -55 °C and 200 °C. The standard DIN EN 2713-012 specifies the characteristics of UV laser printable, single and multicore silver-plated copper screened (spiral) and jacketed electrical cables for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft, at operating temperatures between −55 °C and 200 °C. It is also possible to mark these cables by qualified compatible marking. These markings are in accordance with EN 3838. The standards of the EN 2713 series are prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-02 AA "Elektrische Leitungen" ("Electric cables") at DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
