This standard specifies the electrolytic cadmium plating of parts in steel of tensile strength Rm (max.) ≤ 1 450 MPa, copper, copper alloys and nickel alloys, whose temperature in service does not exceed 235 °C, for aerospace applications. The standard EN 2133:2010 has been prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Metallic Materials, with the participation of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-01-04 AA "Nickelbasislegierungen" ("Nickel based alloy") of the Aerospace Standards Committee at DIN.
