DIN EN 1679-1:2011-09

This standard defines relevant requirements set out in Annex I of the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, relating to machines which were placed on the European Economic Area (EEA) market for the first time, with the intent of simplifying the means of proving conformity with such requirements. This standard deals with the machine-specific significant hazards, describes the associated safety requirements and/or protective measures and the requirements regarding the information for use. This standard contains the German version of Amendment A1:2010 to EN 1679-1:1998, which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 270 "Internal combustion engines" at the European Committee of Standardization (CEN). During the preparation of the standard, the national interests were represented by Committee NA 060-10-10 AA "Verbrennungsmaschinen" ("Internal combustion engines") at Technical Section "Motoren und Systeme" ("Engines and systems") of the Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee (NAM) at DIN. Manufacturers' representatives and users of engines and systems are involved in the preparation of the standard.
