Overview

This standard specifies the requirements for grades of alloyed aluminium ingots intended for remelting. The classifications and designations applicable to these grades, the conditions in which they are produced, the properties and the marks by which they are identified are also specified. The European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 132/WG 10 "Castings" (secretariat: AENOR, Spain). On the national level the responsible Committee is Working Committee NA 036-00-07 AA "Aluminiumlegierungen" ("Aluminium casting alloys") of the Foundry Practice Standards Committee (GINA).
