This European Standard specifies requirements and test methods for pipes and fittings used for the renovation of underground drain and sewer systems by lining with a single rigid annulus of structural cementitious grout formed behind a plastics inner layer. The plastics layer serves as permanent formwork anchored to the grout and can contribute to the static load-bearing capacity of the liner due to its composite behaviour. The standard does not apply to systems with several annulus spaces. For the technique of spirally wound pipes the scope of EN ISO 11296-7 or EN 13566-7 is distinguished from that of this standard in requiring the plastics pipe component to have adequate ring stiffness to resist all external loads on its own without any structural contribution from grout used as annular filler. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 119-05-37 AA "Renovierung, Reparatur und Erneuerung von Abwasserkanälen und -leitungen (CEN/TC 165/WG 13, CEN/TC 155/WG 17 und ISO/TC 138/WG 12)" ("Renovation, repair and renewal of drains and sewers (CEN/TC 165/WG 13, CEN/TC 155/WG 17 and ISO/TC 138/WG 12)") at DIN.
