Overview

In regards to the supply of auxiliary and operating materials to railway vehicles it is necessary to control a number of interfaces between the railway infrastructure and the railway vehicle as well as the sequences of these operations. This European Standard deals with special requirements for the equipment of railway vehicles and for the railway infrastructure for water restocking equipment. In particular requirements for the equipment of vehicles fitted with water taps for servicing sites and for use in toilets are specified. Furthermore, it regulates the supply of the vehicles with water for the different sectors and the discharge of waste water on-board and with regard to infrastructure.
