DIN EN 1628:2016-03

This European Standard specifies a test method for the determination of resistance to static loading in order to assess the burglar resistant properties of pedestrian doorsets, windows, curtain walling, grilles and shutters. It is applicable to the following opening functions: Turning, tilting, folding, turn-tilting, top or bottom hung, sliding (horizontally and vertically), pivoted (horizontally and vertically), projecting, and rolling as well as non-openable constructions. This European Standard does not apply to doors, gates and barriers intended for installation in pedestrian access areas and whose main intended use is to provide safe access for goods and vehicles, escorted or guided (controlled) by persons, in industrial, commercial or residential areas, which is covered in EN 13241-1. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-09-02 AA "Einbruchschutz" ("Burglar resistance") at DIN.
