Overview

This European Standard deals with non-pressure and pressure balanced footvalves with a nominal diameter of more or less than 100 mm intended for loading and unloading. This standard specifies the performance requirements and the critical dimensions as well as the tests necessary to verify the compliance of the equipment with this standard. The equipment described in this European Standard is suitable for use with liquid petroleum products and other dangerous substances of Class 3 of ADR which have a vapour pressure not exceeding 110 kPa at 50 °C (including petrol), and which have no sub-classification as toxic or corrosive. This European Standard has been prepared by WG 7 "Service equipment" (secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom) of CEN/TC 296 "Tanks for transport of dangerous goods", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The national mirror committee is Working Committee NA 104-02-07 AA "Ausrüstung für Transporttanks" ("Service equipment for transport tanks") of NATank.
