Overview
This standard specifies the test methods and approval conditions for braking systems intended for self-propelled internal combustion engines or electrical multiple units to be operated on conventional railway lines of the European rail network. The regulatory authority specifies the braking system standard to be applied for each multiple unit train which is operable in accordance with both EN 13452 and this standard.
