Overview

This document (EN 15415-2:2012) specifies the determination of particle size distribution of solid recovered fuels using a manual method for the determination of the maximum projected length. It applies to both agglomerated and non-agglomerated solid recovered fuel pieces exhibiting an irregular shape, such as shredded end-of-life tyres and demolition woods. The specified method does not apply to filaments protruding from the SRF pieces. EN 15415-2:2012 has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 343 "Solid recovered fuels", the secretariat of which is held by SFS (Finland). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 062-05-83 AA "Sekundärbrennstoffe" ("Recovered fuels") of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN.
