This European Standard specifies requirements for the safety, strength and durability of all types of non-domestic tables including those with glass in their construction. It does not apply to office work tables or desks, tables for educational institutions and outdoor tables for which EN standards exist. This document has been prepared by CEN/TC 207 "Furniture", the secretariat of which is held by UNI (Italy). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 042-05-15 AA "Sitzmöbel, Polstermöbel und Tische" ("Seating, upholstered furniture and tables") at DIN Standards Committee Timber and Furniture (NHM).
