This standard constitutes the part of a series of standards specifically applicable to the specification of heating or cooling for space heating or cooling purposes, establishing procedures for the calculation of energy losses and energy requirements of space heating and/or cooling and domestic hot water systems in buildings. This standard: - specifies the required inputs, outputs and links (the structure) of the calculation procedure in order to arrive at a common European calculation method; - applies to the calculation of the energy performance of water-based heat transfer subsystems for space heating and cooling; - specifies the structure for the calculation of the additional heat losses and energy requirements of a heat transfer or cooling system to meet the net energy demand of the building. In Germany, the Directive on the energy performance of buildings (2010/31/EU) of the European Parliament and the European Council is primarily implemented by national energy conservation law. National energy conservation law refers to dated national and European standards and national prestandards that have been specified to be implemented in Germany. NA 041-05-01 AA "Energetische Bewertung gebäudetechnischer Anlagen (SpA ISO/TC 205 "Umweltgerechte Gebäudeplanung")" ("Energy efficiency of technical building systems (mirror committee ISO/TC 205 "Building environment design")") at DIN Standards Committee Heating and Ventilation Technology and their Safety (NHRS) of the German Institute for Standardization e. V.is responsible for the German version.
