This European Standard applies to all liquid-applied water impermeable products, based on polymer modified cementitious mortars, dispersions and reaction resin coatings, used beneath ceramic tiling, for external tile installations on walls and floors and in swimming pools. This European Standard contains the terminology concerning the products and specifies the test methods and the values of performance requirements for liquid-applied water impermeable products associated with tile adhesives. This European Standard specifies the evaluation of conformity and the classification and designation of liquid-applied water impermeable products beneath ceramic tiling. This European Standard does not contain recommendations for the application and processing of ceramic tiles and grouts and their installation in combination with water impermeable products. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN 14891:2007-11, DIN EN 14891 Corrigendum 1:2008-02 and DIN EN 14891 Corrigendum 2:2010-03: a) new informative Annex ZA; b) clauses, subclauses (Foreword, 1, 4.1, 5.1, 5.3.3, 5.4.1, 6, 7 f), A.6.7, A.6.8, A.7) and tables (Tables 2 and 3) revised; c) corrections from DIN EN 14891 Corrigendum 1:2008-02 included; d) corrections from DIN EN 14891 Corrigendum 2:2010-03 included. This document (EN 14891:2012) has been prepared by CEN/TC 67 "Ceramic tiles", the secretariat of which is held by UNI (Italy). German participated in the preparation through the NABau Mirror Committee NA 005-09-82 AA "Keramische Fliesen und Platten (SpA zu CEN/TC 67, ISO/TC 189)" ("Ceramic tiles (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 67, ISO/TC 189)").
