The standard DIN EN 14841 specifies discharge, handling operations and emergency procedures for rail tankers used for the transport of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). This document applies to operations where LPG is discharged from rail tankers into LPG fixed storage facilities. This document does not apply to "tank containers" and "batteries of receptacles". Compared to the previous edition, during the revision of this standard (DIN EN 14841:2006-04), Annexes A and B have been deleted. Provisions covering aspects of occupational safety and health (and thus, national legislation) have been deleted. An environmental checklist has been added. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 016-00-06 AA "Flüssiggas-Geräte und Ausrüstung; Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 286" ("LPG equipment and accessories; National mirror committee to CEN/TC 286") at DIN.
