DIN EN 14758-1:2012-05

This European Standard contains requirements for solid-wall pipes, fittings and the system of piping systems made from mineral modified polypropylene materials (PP-MD) in the field of non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage - outside the building structure (application area code "U"), and - both buried in ground within the building structure (application area code "D") and outside the building structure. It contains requirements for materials, dimensions, and tolerances as well as for fitness for purpose and durability. Nominal sizes and pipe series for pipes and fittings as well as stiffness classes are specified. Information regarding the use of piping systems made of mineral modified polypropylene materials (PP-MD) is given in an informative annex. With respect to DIN EN 14758-1:2009-07, relevant test methods have been changed from EN to ISO versions in this standard. The long term durability test has been removed. This European Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 155 "Plastics piping systems and ducting systems" (secretariat: NEN, Netherlands). The responsible German body involved in the preparation of the standard was Joint Working Committee NA 119-05-28 GA "Kunststoffrohre in der Abwassertechnik" ("Plastics pipes for use in wastewater engineering").
