Short description
The standard describes a method for controlling the European limit value of 5 µg/m3 for benzene by diffusive sampling. The method uses enrichment of benzene on activated charcoal, from which it is extracted by a solvent. After gas chromatographic separation from other compounds benzene is detected by a suitable detector.
