This standard specifies the general principles for the execution of works for micropile construction having a small diameter (for drilled micropiles, a shaft diameter smaller than 300 mm and for driven micropiles, a shaft diameter smaller than 150 mm) and which can be usually driven into the ground with small drilling or piling equipment. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-05-07 AA "Baugrund; Pfähle (SpA zu CEN/TC 288/WG 3, WG 5, WG 8 und WG 15 sowie CEN/TC 341/WG 4)" ("Soil; piles (Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 288/WG 3, WG 5, WG 8, WG 15 and CEN/TC 341/WG 4)") at DIN.
