The amendment of the EU Construction Products Directive (89/106/EEC) to the EU Construction Products Regulation (305/2011/EU) has required certain formal changes to be taken into account in the harmonized product specifications. This results in action consequences for the manufacturers of WC and urinal flushing cisterns. Cisterns serve for personal hygiene. Due to their construction and flushing properties they can be assigned to various classes used in the member states. CEN/TC 163 "Sanitary appliances" is aware that due to the new requirements for the manufacturers of sanitary appliances and the corresponding unsatisfactory specifications of the relevant harmonized European Standards resulting from Regulation 305/2011/EU a significant restlessness and uncertainty among the actors on the market has developed. On the initiative of the German delegation at CEN/TC 163 the short-term change or revision of all these standards, also of EN 14055, has been introduced. The content of the modification of this standard is the introduction of the term "product type", the introduction of Clause "Dangerous substances", modification of the marking of products, replacement of Clause "Conformity assessment" by "Assessment and verification of constancy of performance - AVCP " and replacement of Annex ZA by the new Annex ZA in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011/EU. The committee responsible for these activities is Mirror Committee NA 119-05-18-08 UA "Spülkästen" ("Flushing cisterns").
