This European Standard specifies characteristics of curtain walling and contains technical information on the various performance requirements that apply in Europe, as well as the test criteria and the sequence of tests that the product undergoes to demonstrate its conformity. Reference is made to other European Standards dealing with the performance and testing of curtain walling. If necessary, reference is also made to European Standards covering products installed in curtain walling. This standard applies to curtain walling kit ranging from a vertical position to plus/minus 15° from the vertical. Curtain walling cannot be completed in any way within a single manufacturing area, but consist of a number of components and/or finished parts that will not be finalized until after assembly at the site. This standard applies to the entire curtain walling, including the enclosures, finishes and wall coverings.
