DIN EN 13799:2012-06

This European Standard specifies minimum requirements for design and testing of contents gauges, which are directly connected to LPG transportable pressure vessels, LPG drums, LPG cylinders and static LPG pressure vessels above 0,5 l water capacity. Contents gauges used for automotive containers are excluded. This European Standard does not apply to refineries or other process plants. The following modifications have been made with respect to the previous editions DIN EN 13799:2003-03 and DIN EN 13799 Corrigendum 1:2008-08: a) scope extended to include transportable equipment; b) gauge graduations and precision included; c) overfill Protection Device is deleted, now included in EN 13175; d) test requirement is included for non-metallic floats; e) torque test values have been changed; f) vacuum test and float test have been introduced; g) Annex C, production testing has been introduced; h) Annex D, vibration testing has been introduced; i) Annex E, environmental checklist has been introduced; j) Annex ZA has been deleted. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 016-00-06 AA "Flüssiggas-Geräte und Ausrüstung; Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 286" ("LPG equipment and accessories; mirror committee to CEN/TC 286") is responsible for the standard at DIN.
